Stunning anterior composites - Layered, edge bonding and bioclear black triangle closures
CPD: 16 Hours
11th - 12th September 2026
This 2 day course will demystify the world of anterior freehand composites. The structure of the course will outline a clear workflow for shade, shape and cavity assessment as well as outline biofilm removal and a predictable universal bonding protocol. We will then discuss and have hands on training on a Class IV simplified layered technique vs more contemporary single shade semi injection techniques with edge bonding and closing black triangles. Using minimal shades and instruments and a clear shaping/polishing protocol we aim to help clinicians improve aesthetic predictability, efficiency and profitability
Day 1- Agenda and Aims and Objectives
- Decision making for when to choose a layered approach vs single shade. Shade selection and understanding desired shapes
- Cavity preparation for maximum adhesive and aesthetic potential
- A simplified layering technique for Class IV composite restorations.
- Simplified shaping protocol to achieve line angles and a stunning shine
- Hands on practice on all stages outlined
Day 2- Agenda and Aims and Objectives
- Management of multiple teeth and planning to consider single shade restorations and when to use digital workflows and opt for injection moulding
- Edge bonding considerations and case selection to avoid failures
- Simplified single shade management for worn edges post orthodontics
- Closure of black triangles with Bioclear for maximum aesthetic and predicable outcomes
- Hands on training for Bioclear matrix semi injection moulding to close black triangles and manage multiple teeth
- Shaping and polishing Protocols
